2013年1月9日，国家民委政策研究室副主任、巡视员、中国人类学民族学研究会秘书长黄忠彩先生在北京会见并宴请了到访的加拿大曼尼托巴大学社会科学院副院长萝莉•维尔金姗（Lori Wilkinson）教授。双方就加拿大原住民研究、多元文化政策的最新动向、中加民族研究的合作等话题深入交换了意见。维尔金姗教授是应中央民族大学民族理论研究院的邀请来华讲学的，这是她第二次到中国。之前，她曾在2011年12月到中国参加中国人类学民族学2011年会，并以加拿大民族研究联合会会长的名义与中国人类学民族学研究会签订了双方合作备忘录。维尔金姗教授的研究兴趣主要集中在种族和民族关系、移民和难民研究、公民身份等。中国社科院民族所学者张继焦、杜发春和张小敏，中国国际友谊促进会研究员葛海亭先生等参加宴请活动。

U. of Manitoba Prof. Lori Wilkinson greeted by Huang Zhongcai

On 9 January in 2013, Huang Zhongcai, Secretary-General of the China Union of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences (CUAES), warmly greeted Prof. Lori Wilkinson, Vice Dean of Social Sciences at University of Manitoba in Beijing. They expressed mutual interests in research on aboriginal peoples in Canada and multiculturalism in both China and Canada. Prof. Lori Wilkinson was invited to give a lecture at Minzu University of China. As well, she felt honored to meet some Chinese scholars (Zhang Jijiao,Du Fachun, Zhang Xiaomin) from CASS.

In December 2012,Prof. Lori first came to China to attend the annual conference of CUAES and signed a memorandum of understanding with Mr. Zhou Mingfu (Depute Chairman of CUAES) between Canadian Society of Ethnological Studies and CUAES in Nanning. Her research interests include ethnic relations, migration, refugee studies and citizenship.
